Malfunctioning transformer (pix)

Lecture on long Covid

Students for Holistic Development of Humanity (SHoDH) organised a lecture on Facebook on Covid-19 Sequelae. The lecture wad delivered by Dr Vikas Sharma, Assistant Professor, Immunology and Rheumatology, Department of Medicine, IGMC. In his lecture, Dr Sharma spoke about the long-term impact the diseases was having on some people even after they had recovered. Most common problems included respiratory issues, fatigue, psychological issues, etc. Dr Sharma said people needed to identify the symptoms of long Covid and the measures they needed to take to deal with the specific problem they were facing.

UIT to hold two faculty programmes

The University Institute of Technology (UIT), HPU, has got the approval from All India Council of Technical Education to conduct two faculty development programmes. One programme will be conducted on earthquake engineering in August, and another on photonics integrated circuits will be held in October.

Mother’s Day celebrated

Shimla Shemrock School celebrated Mother’s Day through virtual mode. The school principal, while interacting with children and parents, said mothers save their children from all problems. She told the toddlers that they should listen to their mother and keep her happy.
