Retaining wall not being repaired

The PWD has failed to repair a damaged retaining wall near Rakhaidhar on the Anni-Tarala road for over three months, due to which around four villages are deprived of bus facility. Other than assurances, the authorities have failed to deliver anything on ground. The complaint was lodged on the CM Helpline, but to no avail. — Des Raj, Anni, Kullu

Dogs not leashed during walks

HP Board institutes closed from Nov 1-6

All schools and colleges affiliated with the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamsala, will remain closed from November 1 to November 6 on account of Diwali.

Webinar on women-related issues

Nursing specialist Dr Shama Lohumi stressed the need to provide sex education to children from Class IX onwards during a webinar organised by NGO Umang Foundation. She further said that youth can play an important role in removing myths around menstruation and reproduction. Speaking on ‘Women’s reproductory health and menstruation hygiene’, Dr Lohumi said because of the lack of communication on these issues in families, society and educational institutions, women have to face several problems and ailments.

Jaypee varsity holds alumni talk

The Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) Alumni Cell conducted an ‘Alumni Talk’ with distinguished alumni of the 2015 batch. Declamation contest in Nursing College

The SJVN is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from October 26 to November 1 on the theme of ‘Independent India @75 Self-Reliance with Integrity’. As part of the week-long programme, a declamation contest was held at Shivalik Institute of Nursing at Bhattakuffar, Sanjauli.
