The ABVP has launched a campaign against the government over student issues. It will raise these issues till October 16 in various ways. To start with, the students’ body submitted a memorandum listing various demands to the Education Minister through the DC. They have demanded that the construction of the Central University campus be expedited, Nauni VC be removed, exploitation of students in private universities be checked and irregularities in results be looked into.
Arihant schoolkids clear JEE Advanced
Two students of Arihant International School, Nahan, have cleared JEE Advance 2020. Out of the 22 students who had appeared in JEE Mains, nine students had cleared the test. Now, two out of them — Miran and Khushpreet — have cleared the JEE Advanced. On this occasion, school chairman Anil Jain and general secretary Sachin Jain congratulated the successful students and their parents.
SFI calls for entrance test
The SFI will stage a protest on Thursday to press its demand to hold entrance test for PG courses. On October 10, the SFI is slated to submit demand letters to the Education Minister, and on October 12, it will hold a protest in all district headquarters. On October 13, students will submit the demand letter to the Governor. The SFI has also decided to lodge a PIL against the decision. SFI activists said the students had already paid the fee for entrance tests, and the university would be looting this money if it didn’t conduct entrance tests.
