Guthka stains mar benches and walls of market
Guthka stains on benches and walls of the Indira market give an ugly look to the place, located in the centre of Mandi town. The Municipal Council should impose a fine on people who spit guthka in the marketplace. Besides, the MC should make arrangements to clean this place at least once a week to maintain cleanliness. Roadside tree cause of accidents
An inclined roadside tree between Jonta and Kotla in Nurpur on the Pathankot-Mandi National Highway-154 has made the stretch accident-prone. Statewide e-PTM held
The second phase of the statewide e-Parent Teacher Meet (e-PTM) was organised from October 16 to 19 to strengthen the teacher-parent dialogue. It was inaugurated on October 15 by Minister of Education Govind Singh Thakur. In the programme, participants from all 12 districts across the state, including teachers, parents and children, interacted directly with the minister. Approximately 42,400 teachers from the state interacted with the parents of 6,40,000 students online. Through the dialogue, students’ performance in the weekly WhatsApp-based quiz and the recently conducted first term assessment was discussed. In addition to this, another topic of discussion was the reopening of the school. About 74 per cent of parents said they were ready to send their children to school for guidance.
Walk-in interview for economics
The Department of Economics, HP University, will conduct walk-in-interview for three guest faculty posts on November 3 at 11:00 am. Professor KC Sharma, chairperson, Department of Economics, gave the information. He further said that no TA/DA would be paid to the candidates. The candidates must report with the required documents and application.
Change in PGDCA exam datesheet
The datesheet for Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) has been revised by the Himachal Pradesh University. The examination date for ‘Fundamentals Programming Using C’ of PGDCA Semester I will now be held on November 5 from 9 am to noon. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on October 28. There’s no other change in the datesheet.
Navratri celebrated in DAV, Manali
