Kangra highways full of pits

Deep pits on national highways in Kangra district are grave threats to the lives of people. It is strange that neither the NHAI, nor the state government is getting these pits filled. For anybody travelling on two-wheeler in night, these pits are death traps. Inaction on the part of the authorities concerned is appalling. — Kamaldeep, Kangra

Solan road in a bad shape

The four-laning of the highway in Solan town is underway from the past five years. Plumes of dust greet the motorists, as the surface of the road is in a poor shape. Not only is the pace of work slow, but also there is a little supervision to ensure that water sprinkling is done to settle the dust. This is an open invitation to diseases, at a time when Covid infection has become uncontrollable. — Vishal, Solan

SFI holds protest

The SFI held a protest on Friday against the alleged irregularities in the appointment of professors and assistant professors in the HPU. The SFI alleged that the roster system was being completely ignored for these appointments, and no committee had been formed to check the forms. The SFI said it would hold a protest against these policies outside the Vidhan Sabha on September 14.
