City schools shine bright at inter-school fest
A vibrant celebration of talent, intellect and athleticism unfolded at the inter-school competitions hosted by Convent of Jesus & Mary, Chelsea, as students from six leading city schools showcased their skills in a spirited day-long event.
Participants from Bishop Cotton School, St Edward’s School, Loreto Convent Tara Hall, Saraswati Paradise International School, IVY International School and the host school itself came together to compete in a series of events ranging from dance and singing to volleyball and debate.
The event began with an enthusiastic welcome by Principal Sister Greta, who lauded the participants for their zeal and camaraderie. “Competitions like these not only inspire excellence but also nurture friendship and mutual respect among students,” she remarked.
The cultural events witnessed an explosion of creativity as young dancers and singers lit up the stage with energetic performances, captivating both judges and audience. In volleyball, the courts came alive with high-octane matches showcasing teamwork, stamina and sportsmanship. Meanwhile, the debate competition stirred insightful arguments on contemporary issues.
