A spokesperson of the Excise and Taxation Department said here today that in view of the waiver, taxpayers had been requested to clear any backlog by January 10. In case the taxpayers fail to use the opportunity, a late fee of Rs 50 per day for non-filing of GSTR-1 up to a maximum of Rs 10,000 per GSTR-1 will be levied as per existing provisions.
