Shimla, April 14
With praise pouring in for doctors, para- medical staff and sanitary workers, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today thanked them for providing efficient service to coronavirus patients undergoing treatment.
The Chief Minister was interacting with doctors, para-medical staff and sanitary workers of Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda in Kangra district and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Ner Chowk, district Mandi through video conferencing from Shimla today.
Initially, these three medical colleges had treated the cases of COVID-19. These doctors and para-medical staff and sanitary workers are now under quarantine. The Chief Minister said the services rendered by all these doctors and para medical staff were commendable and people of the state were grateful to them for their selfless services. “I would like to personally interact with all these corona warriors whenever the situation normalises,” said the Chief Minister.
Later, Thakur interacted through Skype with ASI posted at Kuddu barrier and Nerwa in Shimla district. He also interacted with the head constable posted in Sirmaur district and SHO, Parwanoo. He appreciated the services being provided by them during the curfew and urged them to ensure their proper safety. — TNS
