The BJP candidate for the Hamirpur constituency, Ashish Sharma, today said Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had deprived the district of development. Addressing election meetings in the Nalti area of the constituency, he said the Chief Minister had failed to fulfill his promises.

Sharma said instead of levelling false allegations against the BJP leaders, the CM should detail the development works initiated in the constituency during his 16 month-tenure.

He added that the CM had only favoured his friends and relatives, while people of the district were facing a number of problems that remained unaddressed. He said he had suggested a number of development works for the constituency after being elected MLA, but Sukhu ignored his suggestions.

Sharma visited various villages, including Baleta, Bhatwar, Khagal, Ghanotla, Kaswar, Badala, Masayana, Ropa and Jangal, of the constituency today.
