CM, Dy CM mourn demise of retd official
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri have expressed grief over the demise of Shyam Lal Sharma, father of Dr Shashi Kant Sharma, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Himachal Pradesh University and a senior journalist.
Shyam Lal Sharma, who retired as an SDO from the Jal Shakti Department, was undergoing medical treatment at Ner Chowk Medical College. He passed away today at the age of 91. The CM extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the peace of the departed soul. Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri also offered his sympathies to the family and expressed sorrow over the loss. The passing away of Shyam Lal Sharma has been met with sadness in the community.
