Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has commended the swift and coordinated response of the Indian Army, the Kangra district administration and local residents in the aftermath of recent landslides at Bachwai village in Thural of Kangra district.

He acknowledged their tireless efforts and said that stranded villagers were safely evacuated to secure locations. He added that household valuables and belongings of 13 affected families were recovered from severely damaged houses under highly challenging conditions.

Sukhu said that with dedication, the Army and the district administration not only saved lives and property but also instilled hope among the affected families. This strengthened the bond of trust between the Army and the local community.
