CM promises to fulfil students’ wish to watch December 14 cricket match

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today promised the students of Tong-Len institution, a charitable trust , in the Sarah area of Dharamsala of providing every possible help. On the last day of the winter session of the Assembly at Dharamsala, he embarked on his morning walk and from the Circuit House went to the institution inhabited by the most deserving children of society.

On reaching there, Sukhu had an informal interaction with the students, who were surprised to see him Minister talking to them in a friendly manner. Known for his warm and informal communications, the Chief Minister spent time talking to the students, taking feedback. Insiders revealed that the children enthusiastically shared their wishes to watch the upcoming India-Africa cricket match scheduled for December 14.

Sukhu assured the students that the government would ensure that their wish was fulfilled, even if the tickets needed to be purchased. He praised the institution to helping the poorest of the poor living in slums realise their dreams. He appreciated its efforts that have started to bear fruit with students becoming doctors and engineers.

He asked the district administration to help the institution in whatever possible way desired. Tong-Len, a charitable trust founded by Tibetan monk Therchin Gyaltsen Jamyang, works with vulnerable children and communities.
