A delegation of the Himachal Pradesh Gram Rojgar Sevak Sangh (GRSS) met Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here on Friday to raise concerns regarding their long-pending demands, particularly the irregular disbursement of their salaries.

The delegation informed the CM that they had not been receiving their salaries on time due to a significant cut in budgetary allocation from the Centre, which has reportedly slashed the funds for Himachal Pradesh by half. They requested the state government to take up the matter with the Centre to ensure timely disbursement of salaries.

CM Sukhu assured the representatives that their concerns would be examined with sympathy. He also said the state government would explore the possibility of establishing a revolving fund to address the issue of delayed payments.

“The state government is sensitive to the problems of its employees and is committed to taking necessary measures for their welfare,” he added.
