Conference on gender equality concludes at Baijnath college
A two-day international conference on gender equality concluded at Pandit Santram Government College in Baijnath. The second session of the conference began with a lecture by Dr Krishna Mohan Pandey (Associate Professor at JNU, New Delhi), who explored the role of women in Sanskrit and Indian studies.
Following this, Dr Vinod Kumar (Head of Sociology Department at Panjab University, Chandigarh) presented an in-depth analysis of gender equality and patriarchy in sociology. Dr Vineet Thakur (University Lecturer, International Relations Institute for History at Leiden University, Netherlands), discussed “Gender Equality in a Global Perspective.”
Subsequently, both online and offline technical sessions continued, with over 170 research papers presented by professors and scholars during the two-day international conference.
Later, a valedictory ceremony took place, with Principal Dr Pradeep Kumar Kaundal gracing the occasion as the chief guest. Dr Pawan Kumar, the Organising Secretary, honoured the chief guest with a shawl, a bouquet and a memento. Certificates of participation were also given to all attendees.
Dr Pawan Kumar presented a detailed report on the two-day international conference. Conference Coordinator Dr Rajesh Chaudhary expressed gratitude to the chief guest, all participants and dignitaries, while reaffirming the commitment to organising similar academic events in the future.
In his concluding remarks, Principal Kaundal expressed happiness over the successful completion of the conference, stating that it provided an essential platform for students, researchers and academicians.
