Constitution Day was celebrated at the Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, with enthusiasm. In an online event attended by the members of the faculty, administrative staff and students, the Registrar of the University, Professor SS Jaswal, read out the Preamble. Professor Nishtha Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, spoke about the Constitutional morality and highlighted the major milestones in the journey of 71 years of the adoption of our Constitution. The special address at the event was delivered by Professor Paramjit Singh Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala.

Webinar at Pinegrove school

On the occasion of Constitution Day, a webinar was conducted by Pinegrove School, Dharampur, under the aegis of 1 HP Bn, NCC, Solan. Sunil Kumar Verma and Vineet Thakur, ANOs, educated the NCC cadets about the Constitution, the curator of the Constitution, Dr BR Ambedkar, and life during Covid-19. Verma discussed the impact of the pandemic in our lives and contribution of the NCC in ensuring the safety of the cadets. An online quiz on the Constitution was also conducted. The Executive Director of Pinegrove School, Capt AJ Singh, said more such webinars should be held to foster a greater understanding of our founding principles among the students.

Workshop concludes at UIT

A five-day workshop on electrical and computer engineering, organised by the University of Technology (UIT), in collaboration with the All India Institute of Technical Education (AICTE), concluded. Many eminent spokespersons of various renowned institutes such as IIT and IIIT took sessions and discussed their views on different subjects. Professor PL Sharma, Director, UIT, congratulated the coordinator from IIT-Ropar, Somitra Kumar Sanadhya, local coordinator Rajesh Chauhan, and the participants.
