Constitutional values to be part of school curriculum
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu yesterday said that the syllabus related to constitutional values would be included in the school curriculum. He added that six schools each in every Assembly constituency would be equipped with all necessary facilities such as adequate staff and necessary infrastructure, including labs, libraries, etc.
Sukhu directed the officers concerned to complete formalities for setting up schools in a time-bound manner and formulate parameters for their administrative control. “A calendar of activities for the whole year will be prepared for all schools,” he added.
He said that the headmaster or the principal of the school would have to send regular information about teachers going on leave to the Deputy Director’’s office. “This will help in ensuring the presence of teachers in schools,” he added.
