The Himachal Pradesh Sarv Anubandh Karamchari Mahasangh has urged the state government to revoke the notification issued regarding the regularisation of contractual employees on December 2 last year and reinstate the procedure followed earlier.

‘Reintroduce earlier procedure’

We appeal to the state government to revoke the notification issued last year and reintroduce the earlier procedure for all contractual employees. — Kameshwar Sharma, president of HP Sarv Anubandh Karamchari Mahasangh

Sangh president Kameshwar Sharma said, “Recently, we met the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary in Shimla in this regard and sought the revocation of the notification for contractual employees. The Chief Secretary assured us that he would discuss this matter with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.”

As per the notification, the regularisation of contractual employees will be done once a year in March, while earlier such employees were regularised twice a year in March and September, when the contract period of employee got complete, he added.

Sharma said the new policy directly impacted the seniority of employees, who suffered financial loss.
