Cops’ promotions exam rescheduled on November 9

The B-1 exam of Himachal Pradesh police that was cancelled on Sunday due to technical issues will now be held on November 9. An official order regarding this has been issued by the Director General of Police (DGP), Himachal Pradesh Ashok Tewari today.

The DGP, in the order, stated that the final online B-1 test 2025 which was earlier scheduled on October 26 has now been rescheduled for November 9. It will be held in two sessions, which are morning and evening session. All the concerned officials have been directed to ensure necessary arrangements accordingly.

Around 4,461 constables are set to appear in the exam for departmental promotions. On Sunday, around 2,696 candidates had appeared in the exam during the morning session while the rest were supposed to appear in the exam in the evening session. However, as the exam commenced, several candidates started to experience multiple technical issues, hampering the examination process. As the issues continued, police decided to call off the exam, leaving the candidates disappointed.

Later on, the DGP announced that the exam will be rescheduled and a new date will be issued.

The exam was meant to determine promotions for 4,461 constables.
