Couple killed in road accident

A couple riding a speeding motorcycle (PB 35AC 5560) lost their lives in a tragic accident near Milwan Bridge on the Pathankot-Jalandhar National Highway under Indora police station jurisdiction on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Amarjeet Singh, son of Sulkhan Singh, and his wife Ramanjeet Kaur from Sallowal village in Pathankot district. According to the police, their motorcycle collided with a truck (HR 55 AL 8149) travelling from Pathankot to Mukerian. Amarjeet Singh died on the spot, while his wife was critically injured and taken to the Mukerian Civil Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The Indora police reached the scene, collected evidence and registered a case.
