As many as 196 Covid cases were reported in the state today, taking the total tally to 20,040. Besides, a person succumbed to the infection in Mandi.

For the first time in the state today that the highest number of 4,082 tests were conducted since the outbreak of the pandemic. The highest number of 42 cases were reported in Shimla, followed by 36 in Mandi, 34 in Kullu, 21 in Hamripur, 17 in Sirmour, 14 in Kangra, 11 in Solan, eight in Kinnaur, seven in Chamba, three in Una, two in Bialspur and one in Lahaul and Spiti.

The number of active cases stood at 2,620.
