Covid hospital opposed

Shimla, October 29

The shopkeepers of Auckland Tunnel and Lakkar Bazaar have opposed the decision of the district administration to set up a makeshift Covid hospital adjacent to the tunnel by removing the HPPWD store, bus stand and the taxi stand.

They today decided to request the Chief Minister to shift the proposed Covid hospital to some other area.

They said that the proposed location is within 500 metres of several schools and a residential area hence posed a threat to the lives of children and elders. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
