Covid kills 9, 653 new cases

Besides, nine persons died of the virus in the past 24 hours. Five deaths were reported in Kangra and one each in Solan, Una, Shimla and Sirmaur.
The highest number of 164 cases was reported in Kangra, followed by 143 in Solan, 62 in Hamirpur, 58 in Mandi, 53 in Shimla, 51 in Una, 42 in Bilaspur, 36 in Sirmaur, 25 in Kullu, 14 in Chamba, three in Lahaul and Spiti and two in Kinnaur. The total number of active cases rose to 4,158.
