Covid patient's relative tests +ve in Hamirpur

One more person, a resident of Siri village in the district, tested positive for corona virus today, taking the total number of Covid positive cases in Hamirpur district to five. His test report confirming corona virus infection was received in the evening and he would be shifted to dedicated Covid hospital at Bhota.

Deputy Commissioner Harikesh Meena said that this man is a close relative of a 50-year-old Covid patient of Bajrol village in Sujanpur subdivision.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the 50-year-old patient from Bajrol village, who had tested Covid positive two days ago, had stayed at the house of his relative who tested positive today. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate had been directed to seal Siri village, said Meena.
