Even as almost 150 to 200 new Covid cases are being registered daily, the only consolation is that the hospitalisation is minimal — 11 out of 1,101 active cases.

Though there is concern over the sharp rise in the cases with a positivity rate of more than 8 per cent, the fatality rate has remained low. The Health Department has kept 25 Covid facilities ready for any eventuality. The number of people recovering from the infection remains high and today 88 people were cured.
