Customs Department raids industrial unit in Kangra

Dharamsala, June 27

The Customs Department on Friday raided Alcobev Pvt Ltd, an ethyl methyl either (EME) manufacturer, located in Sansarpur Terrace of Kangra district.

Sources said the raid started in the morning. A team of officials from the Customs Department, Delhi, seized all records regarding the purchase of material by the firm. The officials from the Department of Industries, Kangra, were also called.

Rajesh Kumar, GM, Industries, Kangra, confirmed that the raid on the unit would continue till the report was filed.

Many drug manufacturing companies have switched over to manufacturing sanitiser after the lockdown. The firm was manufacturing raw material for making sanitisers. — TNS
