The sacred gathering, filled with heartfelt prayers and traditional rituals, was a collective expression of gratitude and reverence for His Holiness’s continued health and longevity. The ceremony began with a vibrant Drum Dance by monks of Gongkar Choede Monastery, Dehradun, as His Holiness was escorted in a golf cart, warmly waving to the thousands gathered in spiritual solidarity.

Senior monks welcomed the Dalai Lama at the Main Tibetan Temple, where he donned a red pandit's hat and joined the ceremonial recitations. Notably, the Dorjee Lopen, Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche of Bhutan, offered a traditional mandala, symbolising profound respect and spiritual dedication.

A powerful highlight came as Young Tibetans presented a scroll bearing pledges from over 3,500 individuals across 32 countries, affirming their unwavering commitment to uphold His Holiness's four core commitments—human values, religious harmony, Tibetan identity and environmental protection.

Traditional songs and dances by Tibetans from Lhokha, now Bhutanese nationals, enriched the closing moments. His Holiness addressed the gathering with warmth and compassion, offering his blessings to all in attendance. The ceremony stood as a moving testament to the global Tibetan community’s enduring love and devotion.
