Dalhousie school holds prize distribution event

Dalhousie Public School (DPS), Dalhousie, on Wednesday celebrated its annual prize distribution and investiture ceremony, honouring academic excellence, co-curricular achievements and welcoming its newly elected student leadership council. Col Sudhir Dhankhar, Commanding Officer, 24 Raj Rif, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The day began with the declamation contest finals, where students impressed the audience with their eloquence, confidence and thoughtful perspectives on contemporary issues. Their articulate speeches set a dynamic tone for the ceremony.

This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, during which outstanding achievers were recognised for their excellence across academic and co-curricular domains. A key highlight of the programme was the investiture ceremony, where the newly appointed student leaders took their oaths and formally assumed their responsibilities.

The school announced Aarush Choudhary as the School Head Boy and Harmanjit Kaur as the School Head Girl. Tanisha Razdan was honoured as the Best Student (Girls) – Class XII, while Krishav Mahajan received the title of Best Student (Boys) – Class XII. All four students were recognised for their dedication, leadership qualities and exemplary conduct.

Addressing the gathering, Col Dhankhar praised the discipline and confidence of the students, remarking that Dalhousie Public School is “nurturing young citizens who embody integrity, responsibility and a deep sense of service to the nation.”
