Indora MLA Malender Rajan raised the issue during Zero Hour. He said apart from water entering houses, a lot of damage had been caused to the paddy crop on which people were dependent. “The orchards have also suffered massive damage due to release of over 1 lakh cusecs of water by the dam.” He said the government should get an assessment of the damage done so that financial aid could be provided. The Deputy CM said the state government was working round the clock to provide relief to the affected people.

The issue of recognising the valour of Wazir Ram Singh Pathania of Kangra by declaring him a freedom fighter echoed in the Vidhan Sabha.
