Daulatpur Chowk railway section being electrified

The electrification of the 16-km Amb-Andaura to Daulatpur Chowk section in Una district has begun. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 40 crore.

On 15 January 2019, the rail section and the Daulatpur station was dedicated to the public. The same day, then Minister of State for Railways had also laid the foundation stone for the electrification of the track. It will enable all electric trains to reach the Daulatpur Chowk station. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
