DAV school celebrates promotion of alumnus
DAV Senior Secondary Public School celebrated the promotion of its distinguished alumnus, Maj Gen Girish Kalia, to the rank of Lieutenant General with effect from December 1.
Lt Gen Kalia, a proud son of Shimla, was commissioned into the Madras Regiment in December 1991. With an illustrious career spanning over 34 years, he has held several challenging appointments in India and abroad, including command of a frontline division in Kashmir . Naresh Dhaulta, Divisional Manager, HPSFDC, and a close friend of the officer, highlighted that Lt Gen Girish was one of the brightest students at school.
