DC directs submission of status reports for projects in Shimla

Shimla Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anupam Kashyap on Thursday instructed officials concerned to submit actual status reports of various Local Area Development Authority (LADA) projects in the district within three days.

The directive came during a review meeting of LADA held in Shimla, where discussions were held on key projects, including the Kut Hydro Project, Rajpura Hydro Project, Luhri Hydro Electric Project, Kol Dam Hydro Power Project, and other initiatives under Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL).

DC Kashyap emphasised that any remaining funds for LADA projects must be deposited immediately to ensure timely execution of development works and relief for affected communities. He further instructed project heads to complete the designated tasks in the impacted panchayats without delay.

Reviews four-lane construction damage

DC Kashyap chaired a review meeting to assess damages and situation in areas affected by the ongoing four-lane construction work. He directed agencies concerned ensure minimal damage to public facilities and prompt restoration at damaged sites.

He instructed the agencies to compensate the owner of a collapsed multi-storeyed building near Bhattakufer, following his earlier directive to the construction company to pay Rs 5.61 crore to the affected family.
