Officers of the Integrated Child Development Scheme Department have been instructed to prepare a plan to build creche centres for proper care of children of women workers, Kangra DC Hemraj Bairwa said.

The step was taken to ensure that women do not face any inconvenience and their children were taken care of. According to him, these centres would facilitate the working women who are engaged till late in the evening and the operational anganwadi centres.

After inspecting the Women and Child Development office at the district headquarters, the DC said the district administration is committed to cooperate and wishes to ensure that the government schemes reach every eligible child and woman. He asked the department to make every effort to increase the scope of schemes and facilities which fall under the preview of the Women and Child Development Department in Kangra.
