DC renews recognition to 4 training institutes

Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap today renewed recognition to four training institutes in the district under the Skill Development Allowance Scheme. The decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by the DC.

The institutes granted renewal are Wings Computer Education Centre, Chopal; Vocational Training Institute, Khaneri, Rampur; Institute of Computer Tally Organisation, Rampur; and Vocational Training Institute, Rampur. These centres offer a variety of vocational and technical courses aimed at boosting youth employability.

The Wings Computer Education Centre in Chopal has been allotted 60 seats for the diploma in computer applications (DCA) and 30 seats for the ACCA course. The Vocational Training Institute at Khaneri, Rampur, has been approved for 20 seats each in beauty culture and hairdressing. The Institute of Computer Tally Organisation in Rampur will offer 50 seats in the DCA (Telecom Analyst) course, while the Khaneri-based vocational institute will continue to provide 20 seats for cutting and shaving. The meeting also reviewed progress under the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgaar Startup Scheme.
