The Rovers and Rangers unit of the government college in Dehri of the Fatehpur Assembly constituency celebrated World Scout Scarf Day with enthusiasm. The day is significant in the history of scouting as it signifies identity, unity and pride of scouting all over the world. This day reminds every scout of the promises, values and principles they stand by.
The event commenced with a warm reception of all members of the college unit of academic session 2025-26 by Ranger leader Suman Lata from the department of physics.
Rovers’ leader Rahul addressed the students and provided an overview of the various camps and activities organized by the unit throughout the year.
It was followed by an insightful talk by college student Renuka, who shared the history of scouting and highlighted how and with what motivation Lord Robert Baden-Powell had started this significant movement.
Another student, Jannavi from BA (III), spoke on the significance of celebrating the day and its relevance to the spirit of scouting. The event concluded with an inspiring address by group leader Sachin Kumar, principal of the college, who appreciated the efforts made by the Rovers and Rangers unit in promoting the values of discipline, leadership and service.
