Under the five-day inter-state youth exchange programm, organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra and the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, a youth delegation from Madhya Pradesh reached Una on the first day of their tour.
Twenty five participants from Gwalior, Morena, Vidisha, Rewa and Khargone districts of Madhya Pradesh, along with two escorts are part of the delegation. During their visit to Himachal Pradesh, the participants will get an opportunity to learn about the art, culture, language and other societal aspects of the people, besides enjoying the scenic beauty of the hill state.
Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, who was the chief guest during the first session of the programme, motivated the youth with his words and told them about their role in nation building. He said such initiatives provide an excellent opportunity to interact, exchange experiences and understand cultural richness. He added that when youth from different states connect with each other, their mindset broadens and they can play a more effective role in nation building.
He cautioned the youth that in the present era of increasing social media presence and artificial intelligence, a flood of information may sometimes be confusing. He said commitment to one’s goals and focus on the objectives is the key to success.
District Officer of the Una Nehru Yuva Kendra, Pradeep Kumar, informed that the participants will be engaged in personality development sessions, cultural presentations, yoga and health awareness sessions, besides participating in ‘shramdaan’ and cleanliness campaigns. He said the participants will be taken on a tour of the major places of the district, including the Mata Chintpurni shrine. He said such programmes helped foster national integration.
