Shimla, March 18
A five-member delegation of the Nepalese army and the government visited Army Training Command (ARTRAC) here on Thursday.
Lt Gen Balanand Sharma (retd), who led the delegation, said India occupied a special place in the foreign policy of Nepal and both countries had strong historic, cultural and economic relations and similar topography. India was also assisting Nepal in National Defence University and the Nepal government was making efforts to accelerate work on the project, he added.
Earlier, the delegation, who is on a six-day visit to India starting March 14, had visited National Defence College, Indian Institute of Public Administration, Army War College, Devi Ahilya University (Indore) and Panjab University (Chandigarh).
