Delhi cops arrest drug kingpin from Kullu, recover 696 gm of charas

The accused was wanted in a drug smuggling case

A team of the Delhi Police's Crime Branch on Sunday raided a house at Chhalal village in the Parbati valley and recovered 696 grams of charas from the accused wanted in a drug smuggling case.

According to sources, the special team raided the house of the accused, identified as Inder Singh, on the basis of intelligence gathered by Delhi Police, which had been monitoring his movements.

The sources said Singh was wanted by Delhi Police for a long time in drug smuggling cases and constant surveillance was being kept to nab him. Singh had been on the run and was considered a key figure in a major drug trafficking network. After receiving a tip-off regarding his presence at his house in Chhalal, the special team swiftly carried out a planned raid and apprehended him.

Following the arrest, the Crime Branch team took Singh to Delhi, where he would undergo further interrogation as part of ongoing investigations into his criminal activities.
