Palampur, July 20
The Swaabhiman Party today criticized the state government for its failure to open temples in the state. The party said it was most unfortunate that people of the country had been denied their right to worship in temples.
Swaabhiman Party members also staged a protest outside Shiva Temple at Baijnath asking how long the government would keep temples locked hurting the sentiments of the people.
Later, addressing media persons Baldev Raj, vice president of the party, said that Unlock 2.0 had already begun in the country.
Markets were opened, government offices functioned as usual, hotels and malls had also opened as people were following the SOPs laid down by the government.
He suggested that the government should hold talks and invite suggestions for early opening of temples in the state.
Those who attended the meeting of Swaabhiman Party included Brahman Ekta Manch and Brahman Sabha members.— OC
