Rajan Kumar from Bhagetu Panchayat of Hamirpur district, was honoured at the Kangra-Chamba cultural festival held at Mataur, Kangra yesterday. Rajan Kumar is a Director of the Himachal Pradesh Wheelchair Cricket Team and member of the District Disability Review Committee, Hamirpur. He was felicitated for his contribution in the field of social service and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
The honor was conferred upon him by Dr Rajeev Bhardwaj, Member of Parliament (Kangra Parliamentary Constituency). The event was organised under the aegis of Vishal Event Guru Pvt Ltd and Chhail Presents, featuring captivating glimpses of Himachali culture, folk dance and art that enthralled the audience.
After receiving the honour, Rajan Kumar expressed heartfelt gratitude to chief guest Dr Rajeev Bhardwaj, organiser Pandit Vishal Sharma and the entire team. He said this recognition is a symbol of pride and inspiration for him and motivates him to continue working with even greater dedication towards social service and disability empowerment.
