The Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, today chaired a review meeting to assess the ongoing development projects at the Chowari Nagar Panchayat in the Bhattiyat Assembly constituency.

Addressing the meeting, Pathania said Rs 2 crore were being spent on various development works, including development of various wards, parking facilities and park beautification, in the Chowari Nagar Panchayat.

At the meeting, Pathania provided necessary instructions to the officials of the nagar panchayat to accelerate the pending works and ensure the quality. He added that special efforts were being made to provide adequate parking facilities in each ward of the nagar panchayat.

Pathania highlighted that the state government is taking appropriate steps to promote tourism in the region. As part of this initiative, the main entrance of the nagar panchayat will be developed and beautified.

He added that the beautification of the Chowari park will commence soon, with a budget of Rs 10 lakh.

The Speaker said many other projects are proposed in various wards of Chowari based on the needs and demands of the residents. He instructed all officials concerned to ensure that they work according to the convenience of the public. He stressed the importance of effectively implementing the state government’s welfare policies to ensure that their benefits reach the general public.

The meeting was attended by nagar panchayat vice-president Surender Singh Chadhak, Councillors Hitesh Vahal and Rohit Sharma, nominated Councillors Vijay Kanwar and Manish Malhotra, Executive Officer of the Dalhousie Municipal Council Rakhi Kaushal, Junior Engineer Anand Katoch and other officials.
