Minister Anirudh Singh inaugurates rural link road
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth around Rs 3.40 crore at Chadi village in the Kasumpti Assembly constituency.
He inaugurated a three-km-long Chadi-Nihari link road, built at a cost of Rs 85 lakh, and flagged off a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus service on the route. The minister congratulated the residents of Chadi panchayat on the inauguration of a community centre building and the new link road.
He said that Rs 5 lakh had been spent on the construction of the community centre building. He added that Rs 98.47 lakh would be spent to build an Ayurvedic dispensary at Anu, Rs 67 lakh for the construction of the Bharari-Kufar road and Rs 85 lakh for the Kyrkoti-Anu road.
The minister stated that the process of obtaining clearances under the Forest Rights Act (FRA) and completing other formalities for 230 roads was underway to ensure connectivity to all villages in the Kasumpti Assembly constituency. So far, formalities for 90 roads had been completed, he further added.
