At a gathering amidst rain in Bagasarahan, Anni Assembly Constituency, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu alleged that the central BJP government has effectively imposed financial sanctions on Himachal by halting the release of approximately Rs 1,600 crore earmarked for the state. The CM emphasised that Himachal, as an integral part of the nation, is entitled to balanced and unbiased development.
The Chief Minister announced a series of developmental initiatives during the event. The CM said, “The double-laning of the Aut-Luhri NH-305 and the construction of the Jalori tunnel are set to reduce travel time between Anni and Kullu to about four hours.” He added that efforts will be made to bolster tourism and a 50 per cent subsidy on e-carts for local youth is aimed at fostering sustainable mobility. He further said that the government was committed to developing bridle paths connecting Jalori Jot with Raghupurgarh and Saryolsar
The Chief Minister inaugurated 21 development projects worth Rs 81.30 crore in the Anni Assembly constituency. These projects range from road infrastructure, drinking water, irrigation and healthcare to education, renewable energy and community facilities.
The leader announced upgrade of the Anni panchayat to a nagar panchayat and establishing a nature park in Bagasarahan with Rs 1 lakh aid allocation. He announced to start Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School, affiliated with the CBSE board in Anni, to elevate local education. He also announced to provide Rs 1 lakh each to local Mahila Mandals.
The CM noted that the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi scheme is now delivering Rs 1,500 per month to beneficiaries—amounting to Rs 18,000 a year, guaranteed for life. He assured that as the financial health of the state improves, every eligible woman will receive this benefit.
The monthly aid for livestock upkeep under the Gausadans has been raised from Rs 700 to Rs 1,200, further underscoring the government’s commitment to supporting grassroots communities, he said.
