Development should not be carried out on party lines: Vikramaditya

He added that elections were fought on party basis but development works should not be carried out on party lines.
Vikramaditya, while addressing people at Chalhog gram panchayat in the Shimla (Rural) Assembly constituency, said, “The sate government’s priority is to ensure uniform and overall development in the state and this can be achieved only through teamwork."
Earlier, the minister inaugurated a new panchayat bhawan at Chalhog constructed at a cost of Rs 1.14 crore. He assured the gathering that the demands of the local panchayat would be fulfilled on priority.
He said that the state government was developing new model panchayat bhawans and this building had been completed within a year and handed over to people. “This new facility will greatly facilitate panchayat-related works. Earlier, Chalhog panchayat used to be part of Shakrah gram panchayat. It has a population of around 402. Despite being a small panchayat, the government is carrying out equal development here," he added.
Vikramaditya said that works worth Rs 1,500 crore were executed in the Shimla (Rural) Assembly constituency during the tenure of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. “Today, major institutions such as Law University, Judicial Academy and Fine Arts College are located in the constituency,” he added.
He said that the state government had decided to construct retaining walls at a cost of Rs 2 lakh each under MGNREGA. “Thousands of people have suffered losses due to natural calamities and this decision of the state government will prove effective in providing relief to them. Despite facing a financial crisis, the state government is still ensuring balanced development everywhere,” he added.
The minister reiterated that roads to be constructed at a cost of Rs 2,300 crore had been approved for the state under the Phase IV of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. “Issues concerning the state are being raised effectively with the Central Government from time to time and the state is receiving positive results,” he added.
He said that the Chief Minister had approved the posts of Radiographer and Lab Technician for the Community Health Centre at Ghanahatti. “The process of filling the vacant posts of doctor in Shimla (Rural) has begun. The government is also going to recruit about 1,000 Rogi Mitras,” he claimed. The and philanthropist walked the red carpet in an elegant Jenny Packham gown, which looked both glamorous and subtle.
