DGP for proper crime mapping in BBN area
Solan, October 25
Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu today directed the Baddi police to do proper crime mapping in the vulnerable Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) industrial belt.
Kundu, who paid a surprise visit to the BBN belt while crossing it, inspected various police stations and posts lying at the bordering areas, like Dhabota, Baddi and Nalagarh.
He also inspected register number 26, which has been initiated to keep a track of crime against women since August 1.
Notably, there were only 25 registers in the state as per the Punjab Police Rules, as applicable in Himachal Pradesh.
The DGP said, “The Baddi police has maintained register number 26 but it lacked in apt crime mapping and they have been directed to do so properly.”— TNS
