Sudhir Sharma, the BJP MLA from Dharamsala, shared an objectionable post against Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, drawing criticism from social media users. In the Facebook post where he shared the picture of the Chief Minister holding his own sketch, Sharma wrote “sketch of a cartoon”.

Naresh Chauhan, Principal Adviser (Media) to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, slammed Sharma for the derogatory post. “It’s an unfortunate post. I don’t know why Sudhir Sharma is so desperate. Only he knows what’s rankling him?” said Chauhan while speaking to mediapersons here today.

Chauhan further said that Himachal is known for maintaining basic courtesy in its political disclosure, and people also appreciate civility in public behaviour. “The post shows his desperation. If he feels he can belittle the stature of the Chief Minster with such posts, he’s mistaken,” he said.

Chauhan further said that the issue-based criticism of the government and the Chief Minister is fine, but such posts on social media is not acceptable and everyone should refrain from making any derogatory remarks or post that put a strain on our mutual relations.

Meanwhile, Sudhir Sharma is also facing trolling on social media for his post, with his own cartoon going viral on social media. Some social media users are seeking FIR against him for the post, while some are questioning his credibility and actions in the past.
