Dharamsala MLA gets threat, case registered
BJP MLA from Dharamsala Sudhir Sharma has received threat to life. The letter carrying threat was delivered at the residence of Sudhir Sharma in Dharamsala yesterday. The sources said that the letter was posted from Dhaulatpur area of Una district.
Sudhir Sharma has filed a complaint in Dharamsala police station regarding the letter received from his threatening to eliminate him and his family. The police have registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
SSP Kangra, Shalini Agnihotri, when contacted, said that a case in the matter has been registered on the complaint of personal assistant of Sudhir Sharma. The police was investigating into the matter.
Sudhir Sharma, who was in Delhi, when asked, said that this was second time he had received a threat. “In the first instance I had received a phone call and now have received a letter at my residence. Initially, I did not take the threats seriously and thought these to be the handiwork of some disgruntled political workers of Congress. However, after recent reports that Punjab gangsters were issuing threats to people of Himachal, I decided to file a police complaint.”
“I have requested the police to track the people who were issuing threat to my life,” he said. Last year Sudhir Sharma had also filed a police complaint that a drone was flying over his house in Dharamsala threatening his privacy.
