Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today directed the Labour and Employment Department to digitise the data pertaining to skilled manpower so as to facilitate the local youth to avail of overseas job opportunities.
Remove bottlenecks from Shimla Circular Road, officials told
- Aadarsh Swasthya Sansthans having six specialist doctors have been set up in 50 Assembly segments to provide health services to people near their homes, Sukhu said
- The Chief Minister directed the departments concerned to remove bottlenecks from the Circular Road in Shimla city to ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic
- Sukhu directed the officers concerned to formulate standard operating procedures for setting up solar projects under the second phase of the Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Yojana
The Chief Minister, while presiding over a meeting of Administrative Secretaries here, said, “The digitisation of the data of skilled manpower in the state will open doors for the Himachali youth to take jobs overseas, as it will be easy for employers to access information.” He added that there was a shortage of medical staff, particularly nurses, in Israel and Scandinavian countries and Himachal could capitalise on the situation.
Sukhu directed the Administrative Secretaries to hold revenue lok adalats on the last two days of every month. As many as 65,000 mutation cases and above 4,000 partition cases had been resolved in the lok adalats so far. “The recruitment process for Van Mitras in the Forest department is underway and the physical test will commence in the first week of February. Directions have been issued to speed up the process for filling 1,226 posts of police constable,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that an MoU between the Union and state governments had been inked for setting up the Bijli Mahadev ropeway in Kullu on a 50:50 profit ratio. He directed the officers to identify more sites for establishing ropeways to promote tourism and enhance local accessibility.
He said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Start-up Yojana, 1,221 applications had been received for the purchase of e-taxis. “The necessary e-vehicle charging infrastructure is being established in the state. Such stations will be set up in the hotels of the HP Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) for the convenience of tourists,” he added.
