The association members said the notification by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) to allow legal practice of surgeries by ayurveda practitioners and the formation of four committees by NITI Aayog for the integration of all systems of medicine would only lead to “mixopathy”.

Dr Rohit Sablok, who represents the IDA, Himachal, and secretary, IMA, Dr Adya said it was a gross violation of the fundamental principles of the modern medicine and ayurveda. —TNS
