The Dharampur police booked a “minor” boy hailing from Bihar, who was engaged as a domestic help, for attempt to murder after he stabbed an elderly woman with a sharp-edged article at her home at Sihardi Brahmana village on Thursday.
The police registered a case under Section 307 of the IPC last evening on a complaint by woman’s son Kuldeep Singh, who runs a dental clinic at Dharampur.
According to Kuldeep, Radheshyam, who hails from Darbhanga in Bihar, was engaged as a domestic help to take care of his elderly mother. “I received a phone call from my mother on Thursday afternoon while I was at my clinic. She complained of acute pain in her waist and I rushed back home and took her to a hospital,” he stated in the complaint.
His mother, who regained consciousness on Friday, told him that Radheyshyam had stabbed her with some sharp article while she was asleep. He ran away after attacking her. —TNS
