A special programme was today organised at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, where a tribute was paid to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the founder of the institute and the second President of India.
On the occasion, a pledge was taken to embrace the importance of teachers and uphold the ideals of Dr Radhakrishnan.
During the programme, Dr Radhakrishnan’s dedication to education and his immense contributions were remembered.
Along with this, a weekly fellows’ seminar was organised at the institute, in which Tagore Fellow Prof Om Prakash Sharma delivered his introductory presentation on his research project titled ‘The temporal aspects of art and
calligraphy in Himachal’s archeological Sancha manuscripts’.
The seminar was chaired by Pramod V Pathak.
